Carp Anglers Group of Eastern PA

The Carp Anglers Group is an organization of avid carp anglers from the United States, Canada, Great Britain and beyond. Dr. Michael J. Keyes founded the group in 1993 as a specialty section within the American Fishing Association. It has since evolved into an independent educational and social group devoted to fishing for carp.

Join the Carp Anglers Group and learn about the latest in carp fishing tips from other fellow members and experts from across the pond in the UK and Europe, where carp fishing has a long history as a revered sport. Members receive a subscription to our newsletter, the North American Carp Angler, complete with articles on the latest in fishing methods, tackle and equipment, and Fish-Ins, or local fishing outings throughout the country.

As Eastern PA Chairmen, Matt and I have committed to showing anglers in our region how much fun carp fishing is. Big carp are widely available in our waters and rarely taken advantage of. Please join in our 2005 carp events. You do not need to be a member of CAG to join in, but

2006 Philadelphia Carping Events

October 21st - Schuylkill Fall Fish-In
Every year members of CAG host "Fish-Ins" all around the country. It's a great opportunity for members to meet each other and non-members to see what CAG is all about. There is always plenty of tackle talk for those curious about carp fishing tactics. This event was a big success last year with well over 30 attendees and close to 30 fish landed. It will be held on the stretch of Kelly Drive across from Peter's Island. Bring some snacks, a chair, and be ready to see some fish!  See you there!
