KidZone



KidZone is a state certified program that provides affordable, educational after-school care for students in Pre- K to 6th grade. Daily pick-up from school is available.

KidZone runs weekdays from school dismissal time to 6:00pm, with accommodations when the school day is irregular (parent-teacher conferences and half days).

Program costs:
Half day – $19 (less than 5 hours)
Full day – $38 (more than 5 hours)
Discounts are available on a sliding scale basis. State subsidy is accepted.

A typical KidZone afternoon schedule:

• Physical activity to help the children unwind from the school day as they arrive at North Light from various schools (public, private, parochial).

• Nutritional snack which they take turns helping to serve.

• Divided by age groups for a period of homework assistance, which can last up to one hour.

• Participate in a variety of activities including sports, arts, reading, board games, computers, etc. . .

In addition to this daily routine, special activities such as workshops, holiday observances, field trips, community service activities, parent/child dinners, etc. take place throughout the year.
