Fished on Tokyo Bay this evening and caught some suzuki.  It wasn't a best night number wize, but did catch 33"er on good old Rapala Count Down 11.

We were fishing about a half mile away from where we released the previous 33" fish.  Possibly the same fish?  Since suzuki this big is quite rare especially around where we fish.  Never knows, but fun to think about the possibility.  This fish was released to fight another day.

I've been using Rapalas and Bombers lately.  They maybe old, but still works great.

Suzuki only grow upto 20lbs, but stripers grow 70lbs+.  Suzuki jumps and shakes its head, but striper almost never jump during fight.  Other than that, they are pretty similar. Smiley

way to go mike. with the cold and snow, and nothing better to do, Ive been putting a little time in looking for the elusive skuke musky.. no sightings or action whatsoever, but one of these days (or years) itll happen. manayunk canal is iced over, its ice fishable with no snow on top... good chance for a carp through the ice.. Tongue

nice fish from japan akdog, good to see you finally finding consistent action.. guessing they're all released? or have you been eating a lot of sushi? Grin

Aki, you keep catching fish like that in those waters and they are likely to give you your own fishing show in Japan !!! Cool

Those are some pretty nice fish from "fished out" water.  All the pictures I've seen of fishing in Japan are party boat type bottom fishing, and the fish all look like bait fish.  I should tell my friend's son to tell his host father from last year about you and send him these pictures.  He loves fishing and would likely hunt you down for your secrets.
