I'd settle for 5 more tipups and two new jigging rods. A auger with a motor would be nice, thats not going to happen.
Stock up on some shad darts in anticipation.
Trout magnets
Some nice homemade weights in anticipation for bullhead/catfish
NEW Berkley PowerBait 6" Flippin'Tail Worm in anticipation for the bass extermination that will be taking place this spring
A pole that isnt' a "P.O.S 5000".

I could fill a list of things I want, but these are what I'll probably need.

A brand new Contender 23' center console with dual Yami's on the back.  T-top and full isinglass enclosure. Might as well deck it out with top of the line electronics and accessories.  Does this sound too greedy??  ???  popcorn

23'?????  If you are gonna step it up get at least the 27" Tournament if not the 31" Cuddy  Then you can go offshore when you get tired of chasing striped bass.  (Like you will ever tire of chasing striped bass!)

23' is perfect.  A little more versatile in tight spots.  I can run offshore with it too!  ;)

I'll take a 28' Parker pilot house with a heater inside for the winter time.  ;D

Okay, so who is getting me the Contender, and who is getting the Parker ??  Please dont fight over it.  popcorn

Not to concerned about fishing gear this year. I be more then happy with a job and a place to live in the next year to come. Don't know if anyone else is feeling it this year especially, but this year has to be the worst when it comes to having high expectations when it comes to anything. But I do know the wifey hooked me up with some hard swimbaits

Mike... I wish you good fortune in 2010. It has been a rough year for many. I feel very lucky to have a stable job that I find rewarding. Have fun with the swimbaits. Here's to 2010 being a better year for ALL.

Realistically, the only thing I want is more time on the water (without any financial or job related impact).

If we are talking fantasy stuff, I'd go for some local steelhead runs and a 12 month long shad run. That would be just fine with me.

Best of luck to any and all feeling the pinch in the job market. Let's hope everyone gets in a better place so we can all spend more quality time on the water next year.

I would like "Time" to go fishing. To all the youngsters here, enjoy every moment you can on the water. Because the older you get the day goes by.
To all, Have a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year. God bless.

I know, I know...but I really enjoy the crap out of shad fishing. I think it is the comnbination of fight and numbers...the whole lots of action thing. Not that I mind fishing for stripers or anything else, btw. I do need spend more time chasing stripers. I've caught my share but am far from having mastering them.

I'm not really asking for anything fishing related this year...although I think I'll be shelling out for a nice new bass rod in the spring time.  6'9" extra fast with a shiny new Saros...mmmmm.  I bass fish plenty but in 2010 I would like to spend more time targetting stripers and eyes on the Skuke.  I haven't mastered that yet and its always fun to see who shows up on any given night.  Once I finish up a little more work on my house I will have more of a surplus of free time.
I need a miracle every day.

Agreed... I am far from a youngster and thankfully now have WAY more time to fish than I ever did when I was a youngster. Youngsters have it tough. Job pressure and family pressure. You have to set your priorities. In my opinion, family comes first which pretty much places your job second. If you think your personal life goes by fast it is nothing compared with how quickly your kids grow. I listened to my elders when I was a youngster and spent as much time with my family as possible. It was certainly worth it.  I fished when I could, but my personal time was extremely limited.  Using a title from one of my favorite holiday movies... "It's a Wondeful Life"... and  it keeps getting better. I now have more personal time than ever and spend it doing something that I cherish... FISHING.

To all the youngsters out there... spend as much time with your family as possible... especially those little ones!
