Toggin should be hot!  Who's in for a togathon this saturday?

MikethePike, drive further south towards Cape May and work the sods down there for keepers and numbers.

If I had free lodging down in south NJ I would in a heartbeat  ;) ;D

Will togging from jetties be worthwhile yet for size and numbers? Is the season open to harvest them now?

I think the season is closed, but we had fish to 6lb's of the jetty last week, and numbers, that pic was from 40 minutes of fishing with 5 guys

Friday was the last day of 4 tog, per angler - Saturday it went to 0.
No voilation unless they kept more than 4 fish per angler.

If you reread the post, he said it was from last week.  Unless he caught them saturday 5/1 or sunday 5/2, the man did nothing wrong.  We are allowed 4 fish per man.

They were caught last Friday, we had our legal limit.  No Biggie, I follow all the rules and CP&R 99% of my fish except for 2 limits of trout, 2 limits of tog, 4 stripers, 2 redfish,  about 20 perch,  few walleye and you can't forget some seabass on a party boat.  I can almost set my clock to them each year.  I really enjoy eating fish but only take ones that I feel could be taken, for example I won't take Redfish from an area in central FL that I fish often (they just aren't there in numbers), but if I am on the gulf side west then they will be blackened and put on the grill stuffed with crab  8)

Thanks for understanding my concern and clearing that up. 8)  Seems we are of like mind.  I enjoy eating my catch as well, but follow the size, season & creel limits and don't harvest fish from over-fished areas.

With the recent changes to the Tog regs, I was curious.

I said stiff in the wrong places (knees, backs, hands & feet).  Those little blue pills don't do a damn thing for that.

Try doing that with 2 herniated discs in his back  :P :D Like I said, I've done it in the past and choice not too anymore. Just not worth waking up in the am and barely being able to move  :-\

I wanted to share a couple pics from the adventure Chris and I had last night. We started out at a very well known spot that was pretty dead and decided to go futile style and fish out front at random spots. It paid off! We plugged up a couple keepers and chris got a new pb doggie on a storm shad of all things. He also caught a crazy looking duck that got a little too close to a pencil popper. We fished non stop at a lot of different spots from about 9:30 pm to 9 this morning. Not the most productive night but it was a gorgeous clear night with little to no wind with a few keeper bass mixed in. I'll take that any day!

This one's for you Aki! This blurple gibbs danny was HOT until I casted it into the night after a fish frayed my leader  >:D
