Cold front nor the rain stopped them today at my local spot. Wouldent touch anything but spinnerbaits. This time i used a $2 spinnerbait  All on a red and black double bladed "conquer" spinnerbait from wal-mart.

Having the wind knocked down or at your back always helps. Just seems that all my spots are on the wrong side of the water with a wind tunnel aimed right where I'm fishing. <_<

Landed a steady amount of bass between me and my friend yesterday, all kind of dinky but i am still on the search for my new PB largemouth, i know that there are a good amount of trophy bass in this spot so its only a matter of time, too bad the spawn snuck up on me this year. Spinnerbaits and senkos worked today, threw some bigger plugs without a hit. its really hard to fish this place because there is very little cover and is pretty shallow around the edges for a good way out in the middle. Anyone have any tips on fishing a place like this?

Carolina rig fired out as far as you can. See if you can find some old 3X plastic baits on Ebay, it floats and should work well on that rig.

Fish after dark with musky size topwater plugs. You won't catch multiple 1~2lb bass this way, but you'll catch big bass. PM me if you're interested.

Nice evening yesterday to do some kayaking. Fished for bass on an abandoned quarry in the tullytown area, me and my friend caught about a dozen bass, nothing really big, each ranging from 10-16 inches, all they would touch were plastic worms, senkos to be exact. Also spent some time landing a bunch of hand sized bluegills on tiny mister twisters. I know there are some giant bass in almost all of these quarry's so its only a matter of time. Water lever drops into an abyss basically only a few feet from the bank, pretty creepy. My buddy is pretty sure he spotted a pike in the shallows, not surprising since Penn Warner is right around the corner.
