Matt... over in Jersey at a spot you are familiar with. From stories I've heard, you tangled with a very large and powerful fish there that bested you by using one of the flow pipes to its advantage. The area is totally different right know in regards to aquatic vegetation as compared to last July. Last year during the summer the water was dominated by hydrilla and coontail.... literally three feet deep for hundreds of yards. This season thus far... no aquatic vegetation except for the regular beds of spatterdock. The water was also crystal clear last summer due to much less rain and probably the filtering effects of the coontail and hydrilla. The water was pretty stained yesterday much like it was in the spring. I'm continuing this post in the snakehead topic area...............
