Those things are balloons. What were you catching them on?
green crabs. we took 18 crabs with us, and each was put to good use. simple rig, basically a heavy drop shot to hold in the current near the base of the bridge pilings. single hook, buried in a half crab. we caught them within a couple hundred yards of the dock, before calling it a day. not a bad way to end a lazy afternoon.
it feels good to be back and fishing the salt. cant wait to get them fluke sandwiches!

Thanks for info on the tog Dano. Sounds like it could be a banner fluke season.

You can say that again. Thanks for info on the tog Dano. Sounds like it could be a banner fluke season.
If you get a chance to try a bergall, let us know how it tastes. I've heard they're very strong tasting, but I can't say that I know anyone who has actually eaten one. Most of the one's that I have caught are too small to use as anything but bait anyway.

Nice way to open the season. How were the sammiches ??Opening weekend was pretty solid. Did some scoutin on Friday and would have had an easy limit between 3 guys with fish to 24". Plenty of shorts too. Then fished the No Bones Opener tourney on Saturday. We limited with 4 guys and threw back a bunch more keepers. We had a bunch of fish 20" to 22" and could not get that one nice fish needed for the tourney. It was still a fun day. Many shorts also. Wrapped up fishing this morning, action was not as good but had 6 keepers to 23" between 2 guys plus a whole lot of shorts. Bucktails and berkely is the ticket.
All back bay fish Dan ??
