very nice. way to find em. 30 fluke is a lot of cleanin! what shore point do you run out of? most of the offshore guys at my marina in cape may are crushing out there. i say they are catching my back bay fish. and they say i finally let their fish out of the back bays.
Good way to put it! We usually run out of Cape May and head south or to the area of the CM Reef.

gotcha. way to find em. most of the guys from my marina have been hitting the reef (CM) or site 11. some guys guys are running all the way to the old grounds. i would do all that, but my boat isnt quite sea worthy enough to risk a long distance offshore trip. i could do CM reef on a good day, but even then need to keep a close watch on the weather. besides i've been finding some decent fishing in the back bays and inlets lately. the other day, one of my sister's step sons put his first fluke ever in the boat, a solid 25" that took a live spotfish. actually first time he ever even dropped a line down for fluke and literally a minute later he's got a 25" at the boat. call it beginners luck i guess. hopefully i can continue to find fish like that close to port, until the fall fishing picks up.

Nice Dano, i knew i should have done something with those spot i was nailing in the back bays at night on my ultra light. Especially since the bait shop by me was selling them live, should have put 2 and 2 together.
got a 5 pounder in the back yesterday on a spot
