4 am and the buzzer on my watch causes me to leap out of bed for my first trout outing of the year.
After brewing my magic black elixir and adding copious amounts of sugar and heavy cream for that extra sugar and calorie boost, I jumped into old faithful and started the 20 min drive to my favorite spot on the Wiss.
Around 5:30 I met the second PAC member I've had the pleasure to fish with, Hector.
I've finally met some people who fish as much or more than I do!
We quickly suited up and made our way to the first hole.
We started to throw rosey Reds, fat heads, baby nights and hatchery formula trout nuggets to no avail.
Once we baited up with the old faithful "cheaterbait" we started to get bites....we even landed a few....and missed more 😜
I ended up catching 5 and released two. I missed two that were almost in the net but popped off at the end.
Here are the three I kept, they were donated to my neighbors downstairs.
