ive seen them hit fluttering trash thrown ontop of the water with the wind blowing on it.
I've seen them hit huge plastic jitterbug lures made for muskies...

Heddon made a lure that resembled a mouse in the 70-80's. I think I got one in my tackle box. Thanks aki

Wooden version heddon medow mouse started in 1929.
Oh as for bass eating mouse, I remember now.
I once fed bass with a mouse in a tank. Bass hit it and had it in mouth for few seconds and let it go. Hit again but let it go once again and lost interest.

Don't think I've ever seen a bass hit a mouse but have seen them attack frogs more than half their size, baby ducks, bats, ect...
don't even get me started on what I've seen muskies attack over the years ;D ;D

yeah mike, share some ski attacks popcorn popcorn
Full size ducks, geese, muskrats, watersnakes. Personal favorite is watching them come completely airbourne on the Susky chasing bats at dusk in the summer.
The one that still ticks me off is this one though:
Threw big plugs and bucktails for 3 hours at my local musky lake....nothing..no signs of life...so I go up to the truck and grab my bass rod and proceed to throw spinnerbaits...hook a 15-16" LMB and outta nowhere watch this huge female grab hold and then let the bass go...I go back to reeling the bass in and she turns around and just inhales the bass...I reset the hook and somehow get part of the spinnerbait hook into her mouth only to have her snap me off a few seconds later...I have no clue how big she was but if I had to guess I'd say easy low 50s and upwards of 40#+. This fish had no problems fitting a 15" bass in her mouth which kinda scares ya a little bit if ya start to think about it ;D ;D
