At work I was just sent this article, along with a note from one of our biologists that we are seeing similar great numbers in the Schuylkill fish ladder this year. Just thought I'd pass along some positive news:
It's 3-piece for travel, but I will probably use it as my main rod at the dam. What's an ideal reel to go with this? I haven't bought a new jigging rod in 10 years so I am not scared to get something fancy if it's worth it and it lasts. I just lost touch with that kind of stuff and I'm not sure what reels are good these days.
A friend is running this event. She runs a community boat house at Bartrams where anybody can rent boats and kayaks. I wonder if any of you all think you could beat the locals in an open species contest like this? I'm planning to go if I can get the day off from house projects... but currently unsure of that.
